What does it mean to be licensed to use the Realtor logo?

The Realtor logo is a licensed logo owned by the National Association of Realtors. To legally use the logo on any product for profit requires a licensing agreement with the National Association of Realtors. Licensing agreements assure what you buy are genuine, authorized products that maintain the identity and integrity behind the logo. If a license was not necessary anyone could take anyone's logo - Disney, Coca-Cola, Nike, etc.--and manufacture products for profit without the company's knowledge or control.

The Realtor logo of the National Association of Realtors is for exclusive use by its members. Individual Realtors and Associations may place orders for their own merchandise bearing the Realtor logo. However, vendors selling stock merchandise for profit must have authorization and be an approved vendor of the National Association of Realtors.
